The Universe has a Return Key
This evening, while heading
home from work, I noticed something small — yet important. A girl was about to
start her scooty ride without realizing that her keys were still hanging from
the back. I didn’t know her, and she didn’t see me either. I just called out
gently to alert her.
She took her keys, and I
smiled to myself and quietly walked away. No thanks, no conversation — just a
small thing I could do.
A little while later, as I
was boarding the bus, my foot suddenly slipped. In that quick moment, two sweet
school-going girls reached out, held my hand, and said with concern, “Sister,
be careful!” Their simple gesture touched me more than words could say.
That’s when I felt it — that
little loop of kindness. Like a command in a computer program: you give an
input, and somehow, the system processes it and gives you something back. Life,
too, runs on its own kind of code.
I didn’t expect anything in
return when I helped, but life had a return statement waiting — in the form of
two tiny hands and caring words.
Sometimes, the smallest
things we do echo back to us. Not always in grand ways, but in the little soft
corners of our day. So, just keep doing good — even if it feels invisible. The
system is always listening.

the next time you hit ‘Enter’ on a kind act, remember — the universe
just might
‘Return’ the favor when you least expect it.”
